since my blog cant post chinese words.. i shall translate. haha. this is one of the phrases on our CO board in CO room.3 days b4 SYF: Bronze is yesterday2 days b4 SYF: Silver is today
1 day b4 SYF: Gold is tomorrow
on that day os SYF: After today, every year is gold.
LOL. yah may look silly to u, but it does give mi motivation whenever i turn my head and look at the board during practice. lols. sad or happy? i duno. lols.
lots of scolding, lots of sweat and lots of effort put in for today's SYF.
though Mr wong scold us a lot in the past, but if we do reflect on what he says, it is actually true. he just always put his words in a harsh way that shoot ppl real hard. 2 days b4 our SYF he still criticise us using one word, "lan". he says that we're like a sine curve. the start of practise our standard is a COP-bronze standard. only after consecutive practise in the same day, we will have a gold standard. and mr wong says that J1s are not serious. and the J1s posted in the forum saying they are practising hard and making time out for CO. but arent the J2s too? haix. and on that day he said this, it is indeed true that SOME of the J1s are sitting around and chit chatting and took a long time to tune instruments. but i feel that after the harsh words by mr wong, our president should encourage us, and not merely say that you agree with mr wong that blah blah blah and REPEATING his words. its wasting our time. the last batch of president is good, as he says our bad points but after that he will encourage us. hey, that's the right way to move us on. Discouragement kills passion.
and on that day of East zone concert, mr wong oso scolded us like ZZZ. i was quite discouraged after the perf alrdy, but he scold us and made me even more worse. that day i was pretty pissed as i put in effort alrdy, but im a beginner and seriously needs more time. he scolded us about how slack we are, no sense of urgency, late coming, responsibility of our own belongings, etc. yah i was pretty pissed. but after that i reflected and to think i actually agree to what he says. and not only me who realised and reflected.
today. everything happened so fast. woke up at 5.30am, went to sch early to warm up. then 7.15am bring instruments and change. 9am tuning room. and we practised one last time b4 waiting for ur turn. While waiting, watched MJC from outside TV. enjoyed the song. LOL big time. 10am, in we go. and my fingers are shaking. LOl. so i tried to sway and move so that it is not obvious. hahahaa. not our best, but its good. mr wong told us that it is at least a silver. but we think its a silver-bronze standard. a lot a lot of flaws. though not huge ones, but listen already is really can make ur heart beat even faster coz u are feeling scared for them. scared that they beat wrong, play wrong. esp the percussion and pluck string section. its like wadever Guo taught they forgot. haha. but i think its nervous. and it is normal and alright to feel nervous! haha.i still rmb the time i reach home on CCA days, the stress that is always there and gets heavier by the day but i cant share and talk it out coz its just so difficult, the effort i've put in during practise AND at home, the super happy feeling when conductor says its a gold standard, the super sad feeling when tr says our CO standard is "lan", the irritating feeling of repeating of the 2 songs over and over again, the emo-ness when everything we play is not right, the tiredness of bringing heavy instruments and carrying stacks of chair to and fro audi, not forgetting gossips with piggy. woo lah lah~ i think our bluetooth is STRONG. lols! i thank ppl, especially piggy and aik ying, for the encouragements, for telling us where we need to improve together, and all. seriously, thank u all for making my time spent in CO happy. today, we had tried our best i believe, so ppl, lets gracefully accept our... silver.
stuck on you
